SOY CANDLES: NATURE'S PERFECT AMBIANCE

WHAT IS SOY WAX?
Soy wax is derived from the soybean plant through a series of processes:

-
Harvesting: Soybeans are harvested from the fields once they are mature.
-
Cleaning and Dehulling: The harvested soybeans are cleaned to remove any debris and then dehulled to separate the outer shell from the inner bean.
-
Crushing and Flaking: The dehulled soybeans are crushed into flakes to facilitate oil extraction.
-
Oil Extraction: The soybean flakes are subjected to a mechanical process to extract the soybean oil.
-
Oil Refining: The extracted soybean oil is then refined to remove impurities.
-
Hydrogenation: The refined soybean oil undergoes hydrogenation. This process alters the molecular structure of the oil, converting it from a liquid to a semi-solid state at room temperature, which is the soy wax.
-
Pouring and Cooling: The hydrogenated soybean oil is then poured into molds or containers and allowed to cool and solidify into the final soy wax product.
BENEFITS OF SOY WAX
Soy Wax, a type of wax derived from the soybean plant, offers several benefits when used in candles:
-
Environmentally Friendly: Soy wax is biodegradable and derived from a renewable resource, making it a more eco-friendly option compared to paraffin wax, which is petroleum-based.
-
Cleaner Burning: Soy candles tend to produce less soot and smoke than paraffin candles, which results in a cleaner burn and less indoor air pollution.
-
Longer Burn Time: Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax, allowing soy candles to burn more slowly and last longer.
-
Better Scent Throw: Soy wax holds and releases fragrance well, providing a strong scent throw both when the candle is lit and when it is unlit.
-
Natural Ingredients: Soy wax is often used in combination with natural fragrances and essential oils, making soy candles a healthier choice for those sensitive to synthetic scents.
-
Easy Cleanup: Spills of soy wax can be cleaned up easily with soap and warm water due to its biodegradable nature.
